About this service
Most salons that say they "do color" don't actually do color on textured hair. The products, timing, and lift behavior are genuinely different on type 4 coils and on locs, and the wrong hand will leave you with orange patches, brittle strands, and a cut you didn't ask for. We've been coloring natural textures for over a decade and our answer to "can you match this Pinterest photo" is honest before it's flattering.
A consultation is required for any color service that involves lift (going lighter). We do strand tests on first-time clients regardless of what the previous stylist did — your hair's porosity isn't on a record somewhere, we have to see it.
Expect two visits for most significant color changes: the first to lift and gloss, the second (usually two to four weeks later) to tone and re-condition. One-session "bleach and gloss in three hours" is how hair breaks.
