About this service
Maintenance is the most important service you'll book as a loc wearer, and the most misunderstood. A good retwist palm-rolls new growth into the existing loc using the hair's own pattern — not tension, not gel cement, not a brutal tug at the root. Done gently, it extends your locs' life by years. Done aggressively, it's how people end up with thin midsections and broken-off edges six appointments in.
We time maintenance around your growth cycle rather than the calendar. Most clients come in every four to six weeks; some stretch it to eight. Retwist frequency is a conversation, not a rule.
Between appointments, your job is to sleep on silk, moisturize lightly, and resist picking at new growth. We'd rather see you arrive puffy than watch you break your own hair trying to tame it.
Who it’s for
Established loc wearers at any stage — budding, teen, or mature. We take kids starting around age six, provided they can sit comfortably for the full session.
